Wood Magazine Teams Up With Jewell Hardwoods

Waterfall Wonder Wood Magazine Partners with Jewell Hardwoods. Back in 2015, we were approached by Wood Magazine who asked if we would partner with them. Our offer was to supply Live Edge Slabs for their “Weekend with Wood” workshop. It is an honor for us to be one of their main sponsors. At this event a workshop was taught on how to finish a live edge slab with a waterfall leg design.

Jewell Hardwoods is now featured as the supplier of the Curly Natural Edge Redwood Slab in the article “Waterfall Wonder”.

The table pictured to the right was built by Bob Hunter (Tools Editor at Wood Magazine). It is featured in the article “Waterfall Wonder” on Pages 60-63 of the latest edition of Wood Magazine. In the article craftsman of all skill levels will find helpful tips in working with a large slab to making the perfect joint. Making slab furniture requires wood that is dried properly otherwise your slab will twist and turn over time.
